There was no public comment.

Chairperson Alphonso Taylor called the meeting to order.

Motion: To approve the December 20, 2007 meeting minutes. Berry-Powell (6-0)

Motion: To approve the Treasurer’s Budget Proposal for fiscal year 2009 as modified. Powell-Kelly (6-0)

Natt Hall reported that the Callohill property has been sold.

Barbara Powell updated the Authority on the discussions with the County, Service Authority and Central Virginia Electric Cooperative regarding the acquisition of the Colleen Business Park. The reason for pursuing the project is the length of time it currently takes for federal and lending institutional approvals. The same parties would participate in the decision making process for prospects, but the EDA would control the land and the price per acre. Maureen Corum has completed the deed research for a new survey. Natt Hall will work with Massie Saunders on a master drawing with possible lot lines.

Maureen Corum will present a review of her department’s projects at the February 7, 2008 meeting in preparation of a strategic planning session.
