Tom Wheaton called the meeting to order

There was no public comment.

The minutes of the July 9, 2003 meeting were approved as written. Motion: Armstrong-Hall (5-0)

The President of the Nelson County Chamber of Commerce will be invited to the September meeting for an exchange of ideas and organizational updates.

The Authority members asked staff to request that the Board of Supervisors petition the General Assembly to change the name of the authority to the Nelson County Economic Development Authority.

There was continued discussion concerning membersâ attendance at meetings. As the Board of Supervisors appoints Authority members, it is the responsibility of the appointing supervisor to monitor membersâ activities.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
