Chairperson Natt Hall called the meeting to order.

There was no public comment

Motion: To approve the September 2005 meeting minutes. Wheaton-Armstrong (6-0)

Motion: to adopt a resolution authorizing the agreement and contract with Monnes Masonry to do the rockwork around the north and south Route 29 gateway signs. Armstrong-Pritchett (6-0). Natt Hall reported that he had inspected the north sign and rockwork twice and approved the second payment for Mr. Monnes. He noted that he had authorized the first payment on the south sign. Allen Hale reported that the signs have been treated with oil to make the letters stand out and that he will ask VDOT to do a small amount of limb trimming at the north sign to increase sign visibility.

Motion: To table discussion about broadband until the next meeting to allow time for review of information from Virginia Tech and Maureen Corum’s meetings. Hall- Wheaton (6 – 0)

Motion: To table discussion about the Wintergreen Resort Projects pending receipt of a written request for financial assistance from the resort. Armstrong-Wheaton (6 – 0)

Members tabled discussion of the scope of services to be included in the RFP to be issued to commercial developers for the Callohill property.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
