Tax Relief for the Elderly or Disabled Applications Due February 15

THE COMMISSIONER OF REVENUE’S OFFICE OF NELSON COUNTY IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR TAX RELIEF FOR THE ELDERLY OR DISABLED UNTIL FEBRUARY 15. QUALIFICATIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

TOTAL HOUSEHOLD INCOME (INCLUDING SAVINGS, RETIREMENT, SOCIAL SECURITY AND ALL OTHER INCOME) NOT TO EXCEED $50,000.
FIRST $6,000 EXEMPT OF ANY ONE ELSE IN THE HOUSEHOLD OTHER THAN THE OWNER OR OWNERS.
NET WORTH CANNOT EXCEED $100,000 EXCLUDING THE HOME PLUS ONE ACRE OF LAND.
