Request for Proposals Telecommunication Planning Services
The County of Nelson is soliciting proposals to assist with the planning of a community-based broadband telecommunication project. This project will result in the production of a community telecommunications plan containing a needs assessment, broadband education and application development, last mile connectivity solutions, preliminary engineering and cost estimates, organizational and operational recommendations, and funding strategies for future implementation projects. Persons interested in receiving a copy of the full RFP may contact Mr. Stephen A. Carter, County Administrator, P. O. Box 336, Lovingston, VA 22949, or 434-263-7000. Deadline for submittal of proposals is 2:00 pm EST, May 21, 2007. This RFP is being reissued to ensure compliance with State procurement guidelines. Previous submittals will be retained and prior respondents are not required to resubmit. Nelson County reserves the right to proceed with previously accepted proposals.
