BALLROOM DANCE LESSONS & DANCES

JULY - SHAG Lessons: Monday, July 7th, 14th, 21st Practice Dance: Monday, July 28th If you love beach music this is the dance for you! Easy, breezy shag is a fun, couples dance that will get you ready for the beach. No partner required
AUGUST -CHA CHA Lessons: Monday August 4th, 11th, 18th Practice Dance: Monday, August 25th A hot dance for a hot month, Cha Cha is a versatile dance that can be danced to music played at almost any party. . . even country music. No Partner required. SEPTEMBER - EAST COAST SWING Lessons: Monday, Sept. 8th, 15th, 22nd Practice Dance: Monday, Sept. 29 Back to School means time to learn something new. East coast swing is the sister dance of the 1950's jive and lindy hop. Brush off your saddle shoes or just wear your sneakers, and be prepared for great music and great moves. NCHS students can get ready for the Homecoming Dance. No partner required.
PRACTICE DANCES Mondays, June 30, July 28, August 25, September 29 TIME: 7:30 - 9:00 pm If you already know how to dance and just want a chance to enjoy a night out, our practice dances may be just what you're looking for! We’ll highlight the “dance of the month” but we will play a variety of music. No partner required.

CARDIO CARMA
“Take care of your body, it will take care of you” This class is for men & women age 16 & up. You will increase cardio, strength, & flexibility and reduce stress. Get fit with this hi/lo aerobic exercise class. It is appropriate for all levels of fitness. Dress appropriately. COMPUTER LITERACY for 2008 Literacy Volunteers of Nelson County (LVNC) plans a spring series of “Computer Literacy” classes at The Nelson Center. Minimum fees/donations requested. Dates and schedules will be announced. HOWEVER, interested persons should call to get on the "waiting list" -- call Chuck and Jane Strauss at 434-263-8294. The classes fill up quickly.
