PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS
1. Rezoning #2006-003 – Scott Collins
Consideration of a request by Mr. Collins of Piney Mountain Vinyl Siding to rezone 0.279 acres (a portion of Tax Map #76-A-1) currently owned by Mr. Marshall A. Mays, Jr. and Marlene Fitzgerald from B-1, Business, to M-1, Light Industrial. Mr. Collins anticipates the purchase of this property, adding it to property he currently owns which is zoned M-1, Tax Map #76-A-4B. Both properties are located on Cooperative Way, Colleen.
2. Site Plan #2006-009 – Scott Collins (Board of Supervisor action not required.)
Consideration of a site plan prepared by Massie Saunders, Surveyor, for Mr. Collins of Piney Mountain Vinyl Siding showing the addition of outside storage units and driveway to property located on Cooperative Way, Colleen. Mr. Collins anticipates the purchase of 0.279 acres from Mr. Marshall A. Mays, Jr. and Marlene M. Fitzgerald (portion of Tax Map #76-A-1) and 2.316 acres from Mr. and Mrs. Marshall A. Mays, Sr. (portion of Tax Map #76-A-4A).
3. Site Plan #2006-008 – Blue Mountain Brewery (Board of Supervisor action not required.)
Consideration of a site plan submitted by Mr. Taylor Smack for the Blue Mountain Brewery to be located on Rt. 151, Critzer Shop Road, Afton. The property is identified as Tax Map #4-A-59 and is zoned A-1, Agricultural. The plan consists of a brewery, hop cultivation, and tasting area on the 1.75 acre parcel.
4. Final Subdivision with Exception to Section 4-4 C. and D. of Subdivision Ordinance - Curtis Bruguiere
Consideration of a final subdivision plat dividing a 2 acre parcel into two 1-acre parcels, as submitted by Mr. Curtis Bruguiere. The property is identified as Tax Map #7-A-58, located at the intersection of Rt. 636 and Rt. 638. Mr. Bruguiere is also requesting an exception to Subdivision Ordinance Section 4-4 C. - Water and Sewer, Individual Wells and Section 4-4 D. – Water and Sewer, Individual Septic Systems, in order to have these two lots served by individual well and septic system.
5. Final Subdivision Plat – Dutch Creek Subdivision
Consideration of a final subdivision plat for Dutch Creek Subdivision submitted by Massie Saunders, Surveyor, on behalf of owners/developers, Dr. Victor Saunders, Dr. Steven Saunders, and Ray M. Pennington, III of Home Run, L.L.C., dividing 216 acres into 19 lots ranging in size from 3.2 to 21.7 acres. The property is located on Rt. 639 and 763 and is identified as Tax Map #60-A-28.
6. Conditional Use Permit #2006-003 – Lawrence E. Howard
Consideration of a request by Mr. Howard for a CUP to permit Four Seasons Realty to have an office and operate from the Page House at 27 Chapel Hollow Road, Afton. The property is owned by Mr. Nicholas R. Nuzzi, Jr. and is identified as Tax Map #12-A-79A.
7. Rezoning #2006-007 – R. Douglas Long
Consideration of a request by Mr. Long to rezone property on Front Street, Lovingston, Tax Map #58B-A-1, from R-2 to B-2 in order to renovate the home and convert it to a professional office. The property is currently owned by Mr. Richard A. Sperry and Others.
