2008 Household Hazardous Waste Collection Dates

Events are free to Nelson residents, but you must obtain a voucher from the Nelson County Solid Waste & Recycling office in order to participate.  Call 434-263-7098 to obtain a voucher, to request a list of acceptable and non-acceptable items, and to obtain driving directions and hours of operation for the events.

Without adequate disposal of waste, there is no such thing as clean air or clean water.  This is especially true when it comes to the disposal of items considered to be hazardous waste.  Please don’t poison our planet – it’s the only home we have!
