Nelson County Transfer Station

The transfer station is located adjacent to the site of the former landfill. It is approximately 8 miles south of Lovingston on Route 29 north. Turn east on Morse Road (Route 748) and go 1 mile.

        Transfer Station Hours of Operation
        Monday – Friday: 8 am – 3:30 pm
        Saturday: 8 am – 11:45 am
        Sunday: closed
        Also closed January 1, July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and heavy snow days

Commercial and residential trash is accepted during these hours.
