Directions to Visitor Center

Located at 8519 Thomas Nelson Hwy (Hwy 29) in Lovingston. Look for big blue signs that say "Tourist Info Center."

From I-95
Take I-64 West at Richmond and continue to Charlottesville. Take exit 118A which is Hwy 29 South. Stay on Hwy 29 for 30 miles to Lovingston. The Visitor Center is on the right side of the highway.

From I-81
Take I-64 East at Staunton and continue to Exit 99 which is Route 250 at Afton Mountain. Go East on Route 250 for 4 miles to Route 151. Turn right on 151 and continue for 10 miles to Route 6 East. Turn left on Route 6 and continue for 6 miles to Hwy 29. Turn right on Hwy 29 and continue for 7 miles to Lovingston. The Visitor Center is on the right side of the southbound highway.

From Hwy 460
Take Hwy 29 North from Lynchburg and continue for 32 miles to Lovingston. The Visitor Center is on the left side of the highway.

From Hwy 29 (in D.C./Northern Virginia)
Take Hwy 29 South from Washington through Culpeper and through Charlottesville. From Charlottesville, stay on Hwy 29 for 30 miles to Lovingston. The Visitor Center is on the right side of the highway.

Directions to Nelson County Courthouse

From Interstate-64 in Charlottesville, take exit 118A (Hwy 29 South) Continue going south on Hwy 29 for 33 miles to Lovingston. Take the second Lovingston (left) exit which is Route 1001 (Main Street) Stay on Main Street for 2 blocks until it ends at the Courthouse.
