Fortunes Ridge Trail follows a cold mountain stream over cascading rock formations. After dropping steeply, a picturesque waterfall emerges about halfway on the trail. The trail passes through laurel thickets that bloom pink in June. Note the dramatic changes in forest types along the trail.
Access from Fortunes Ridge Drive at one end or just above Elkwood Drive on Wintergreen Drive at the other. Three Ridges Overlook (via Brimstone Trail access) intersects is another access point as well.
